Recent photos from the Mere in Ellesmere Shropshire

I visit the Mere in Ellesmere every week to feed the birds there (especially in the winter) after a while I decided to take my camera and capture the lives of the birds I had come to love, here’s a selection of the only gosling to survive this mating season, naturally I have named him Ryan Gosling, I was lucky enough to be there the day he was born and each week I pray he has survived and thankfully he is thriving, I will add galleries as I find time including Ryan’s birthday!

There are also a few shots of other birds including a Canada Goose gosling which sadly didn’t survive the week, it’s been a tough year for the birds and most of the ducklings, goslings, coots young have been predated by what I suspect are pike or ravens (possibly foxes too)
